Honda Mobilio : The Stylish 7 Seater MPV

Honda cars India Ltd. which is quite a successful Automobile brand in the country has strengthen its market share by introducing its new 7 Seater MPV "MOBILIO". It is Expected to be Launched this JULY.

Mobilio would be availabe in both petrol and diesel engine option, were petrol engine will be powered by 1.5 litre, i-VTEC engine, capable of  producing 117.3bhp with peak torque of 145nm. While the diesel engine is equipped with 1.5 litre, i-DTEC engine which is considered the most fuel efficient engine with 98.6bhp generating 200nm giving mileage of 25.8 kmpl. It is likely to be placed against Maruti Ertiga and Nissan Evalia.

Collision Avoidance System

It is an automobile safety system designed to reduce the severity of an accident. Also known as pre-crash system, forward collision warning system or collision mitigating system, it uses radar and sometimes laser and camera sensors to detect an imminent crash.

The mandatory fitting of Advanced Emergency Braking Systems in commercial vehicles will be implemented on 1 November 2013 for new vehicle types and on 1 November 2015 for all new vehicles in the European Union.

Working

The full version of the system (Pre-Sense Plus) works in four phases. In the first phase, the system provides warning of an impending accident, while the hazard warning lights are activated, the side windows and sunroof are closed and the front seat belts are tensioned. In the second phase, the warning is followed by light braking, strong enough to win the driver's attention. The third phase initiates autonomous partial braking at a rate of 3 m/s². The fourth phase decelerates the car at 5 m/s² followed by automatic deceleration at full braking power, roughly half a second before projected impact.

BMW 3 Series GT

The BMW 3 Series 
has been a major seller for the German Automaker and along with the 5 Series has been a major contributor to BMW’s volumes. Looking to cash in on this success BMW India's boss Philipp Von Sahr in a recent interview with Car Wale has said that it will launch the 3 Series GT for the Indian market early in 2014. The 3 Series GT is a stretched out version of the standard luxury sedan and will be brought into India via the C.B.U route. It will join the 5 Series GT as the ‘extended’ option from the German Automaker.
